WINTER COLOUR

There is still plenty you can do to add colour to your garden such as winter flowering pansies and violas which are still the mainstay of planting at this time of year. At Meadowdale Nurseries we stock a huge range of colours for your garden.

Remember that most of our tray bedding is home grown on site at the Shropshire Garden Centre, and don’t forget shrubs with colourful evergreen foliage and those that flower in autumn, winter and early spring to keep that colour going!

You’ll find an abundance of quality shrubs and trees at Meadowdale Nurseries, whether you’re looking for something compact for a border or a mature specimen plant to really make a statement, it’s worth having a look at your local family owned garden centre.

ALPINES, HEATHERS AND HERBACEOUS PERENNIALS

At Meadowdale Nurseries we are always well stocked with alpines and heathers. These represent excellent value as with most varieties they are compact in height and can also provide an excellent form of ground cover.

Herbaceous perennials or cottage garden plants as they are also known can attract butterflies and friendly wildlife as will as adding an abundance of colour from spring until late summer.

ROSES AND CLIMBING PLANTS

Our national love of roses remains undiminished and at Meadowdale Nurseries we stock a range of hybrid tea, floribunda, patio, groundcover and climbing varieties.

Meadowdale Nurseries have a range of climbing plants encompasses the favoured species of Clematis, Lonicera (Honeysuckle) and Hedera (Ivy), plus some of the more unusual plants.

FRUIT TREES, BUSHES AND PLANTS

Growing your own fruit in the garden is decorative, interesting and rewarding (particularly with the cost of some shop-bought fruit). There is always a space in every garden, even if it is a fruit tree growing in a half barrel or a hanging basket filled with strawberry plants and even tomatoes. Freshly picked – Delicious!

Grow your own – unbeatable for freshness and it always tastes much better when it’s home grown! You will find a full range of vegetable and herb plants (depending on season) at Meadowdale Nurseries Garden Centre in Telford.

SEEDS AND BULBS

Meadowdale Nurseries stock a range of Mr Fothergill’s and Kings’ seeds complemented with a selection of seasonal pre-packed bulbs. Seed potatoes, Beans and Peas are available loose sold by weight or in pre-pack (in season).

WILD BIRD CARE

Enjoy the beauty of wild birds all year round with our exceptional range of wild bird care products. Meadowdale Nurseries offer products from leading suppliers such as Gardman, B.T.O (British Trust for Ornithology) and have recently introduced the exciting new range of Peckish products from Westland.

Remember, birds need feeding all year round, not just in winter.

COMPOST AND BARK

For all your compost needs, Meadowdale Nurseries hold a wide range from grow bags to ericaceous (for acid loving plants), not forgetting the great value offers on multi-purpose and there’s also the soil based John Innes range. For the environmentally conscious gardener we stock New Horizon Organic and Peat Free compost.

To help keep your beds and borders weed free we have decorative bark, or if your borders need livening up try using farmyard manure based soil conditioner.

Some of our customers may find the range of composts a bit bewildering, but there is always help and advice available.
